Plagiarism Policy
Journal of Communication (JoC) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. Authors are required to submit only original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Authors must ensure that all sources, ideas, data, and words taken from other publications are properly cited and acknowledged.
To ensure the originality of manuscripts, the editorial office uses plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin to check the similarity of submitted manuscripts against previously published works.
Manuscripts with a similarity index higher than 20% may be rejected or returned to the authors for revision before entering the peer review process.
Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or misleading statements is considered unethical and unacceptable in scholarly publishing.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal. Reviewers are expected to:
-
Conduct the review process independently, objectively, and impartially.
-
Provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.
-
Inform the editor immediately if they identify any indication of plagiarism or ethical misconduct.
-
Avoid any conflicts of interest related to the manuscript under review.
-
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the manuscript and the review process.
-
Follow the ethical guidelines of the Journal of Communication (JoC) throughout the review process.
